Better Pitching was founded by professional pitcher, Phil Rosengren, to serve young pitchers throughout the Tri-Sate area.
Better Pitching is committed to helping pitchers of all ages and abilities unlock every last ounce of their potential. By emphasizing hard work and dedication along with the development of self-confidence and a solid mental approach, instruction from Better Pitching will give pitchers a foundation they can carry with them both on and off the field.
About Phil Rosengren: Phil grew up in Rye, NY where he graduated from Rye Country Day School before heading to Northwestern University on a baseball scholarship. Phil was drafted by Major League organizations on three separate occasions: first by the Detroit Tigers as a High School Senior, then following his Junior year at Northwestern by the Atlanta Braves, and finally by the Cleveland Indians after his graduation in 1999.
Most recently, Phil has pitched for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League. His years of pro experience and his commitment to studying the art (and science) of pitching give him a real understanding of what it takes to be a successful pitcher at any level.
Phil has been giving pitching instruction in the Tri-State are for the past several years, working with pitcher of all ages, from Little League all the way up to Division-I pitchers at schools like IONA College in New Rochelle, NY and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Phil currently works as the pitching coach for Rye High School in Rye, NY.
With Better Pitching he now offers, in addition to his private lesson packages, group pitching clinics to help pitchers develop their skills and take their game to the next level.
